Ok, so I said I’d update, and I didn’t. I just can’t seem to get myself to sit down and just write. It’s not like it’s hard. Heck, I’m doing it now.
I’ve decided that instead of boring you with my usual “this is what I’ve been doing”, I’m just going to try to start posting semi-regularly again.
Also, I’m going to totally redo my website and blog design. I’m going to spend time on them and make them more consistent, as well as improve the behind-the-scenes structure to make them easier to maintain. I’m toying with the idea of using Wordpress as a CMS for the whole site. We’ll see how it goes.
Well… I’m back!

My last two posts were “quickies”. What’s a quicky? Well, jealous of the simplicity of my friend Adam’s tumblr, I found a plugin for Wordpress called “quickpost” that lets me do quick tumblr-style posts. But I wanted quickies to be small, quick posts that don’t attract too much attention, so I did a little bit of Wordpress magic so that quickies show up differently. Now they attract more attention than regular posts, but I’m pleased with the way they look. And, I’m tired.
So here’s to quickies. Take that tumblr! Wordpress is more flexible!
But Movable Type is looking good for some reason…

My blog might go down this week. Seems like the files got messed up, duplicated, or something. Won’t act like I want it to.
Hang in there guys! Yes, all 4 of you. I’ll be back and posting soon!

So I went to Target today to buy some dishes for my apartment because my roommate who does have dishes never bothers to clean them and they stink everything up all the time. Well, I ended up buying a whole lot of stuff, from plastic drawers with filing cabinet to a toaster. So all this stuff didn’t fit in the cart, and I had to put the box with the dish set in it on the bottom shelf of the cart. Seeing as how I hadn’t had much sleep the night before, I think it’s understandable that in unpacking everything in the car, trying to fold the seats down to fit my stuff, I forgot to get the dishes from the bottom of the cart.

I’ve just upgraded to Wordpress 2.3, and changed the theme (obviously). I’ve also been working on a new look for my site, which you can check out at nourmalaeb.com/portfolio. None of the links work, but I’m getting there. When I’m not doing schoolwork.

No, not that kind.
I found IconEye on dezeen, and their article on Happy Pills made me smile.
“Happy Pills is a sweet shop on a narrow plot in central Barcelona, designed by Spanish practice M. The shop, a tongue-in-cheek homage to traditional pharmacies, was designed to appeal specifically to adults in a busy shopping and tourist area with few school children.”

Yep. Nothing’s printed on the shirt
today.
The shirt selling at shirt.woot! today is hilarious! It really cracked me up!
Shirt.woot! is, I suppose, a spin-off of the site woot.com
that sells an item in a limited amount every 24-hours, usually at a pretty good price. I love the product blurbs they write, and the shirt blurbs are just as good.
Usually, shirt.woot! usually sells shirts that actually have somehting printed on them. I guess this is just their way of celebrating labour day. Be sure to check them out later though.
Click on the image for today’s full product page.

With some CSS magic that I learned from Max Design’s CSS Floatutorial page, I was able to greatly improve the presentation of my images. Scroll through some old posts and tell me if you like the new look.
Thanks Max Design!
